Note ten of our 14 day series of love notes is to express what qualities in your partner you hope your children will inherit.
Hello and welcome to our tenth prompt of our 14 Days of Romantic Love Notes series! I’ll be following the 14 love letter prompts (listed in their entirety at the bottom of this post) one prompt per day. Be sure to snag the free printable at the end of the post if you want to follow along!
Note 6: What qualities in your partner do you hope your children will inherit?
So many.
Oh so many of his qualities I hope my children will inherit. And some I’m very happy to see they are inheriting.
My mother-in-law has told me that when Rich was little they used to call him “joy boy” because he was always happy and so little got him down.

I hope my kids inherit his joy and enthusiasm when he encounters something that he loves or that excites him or challenges him creatively. His passion is contagious when he talks about something cool at work or gets involved in a project he loves.
I hope my kids inherit his brains FOR SURE. He has an unbelievable memory, which always served him very well in school. But more than that, he’s able to use his smarts to higher-level thinking and problem solving. I really hope my kids inherit these skills.
I hope they inherit his obedience. Rich thrives with deadlines and oversight now, and when he was young, he was never rebellious for the sake of rebellion. He was respectful and obedient.
I hope they inherit his wisdom in what is really important. I spoke early this week on what life lessons I’ve learned since being with Rich. One thing I’ve definitely learned from Rich is caring less what other people think about me materially. I was pretty vain when we met- I cared a lot about what I wore, going to cool parties and being seen as popular. Rich’s maturity and perspective has definitely changed me for the better over the years. I hope our kids can have his maturity in this regard.

So there you go.
Ok your turn! What qualities in your partner do you hope your children will inherit?
Remember, even thinking it in your mind can help fill your love tank. So even if you don’t write it out- think about it!
