Prompt 12 in our 14 Days of Love series is to reminisce about the first time you said “I love you.”
Prompt 12: Reminisce about the first time you said, “I love you” to your spouse.
I write personal things about my marriage all the time on this blog, but for some reason this prompt is eliciting a, “Hey none of your business” reaction from me (yes I see the irony that I came up with the prompt).
Its just that this memory is so deeply mushy that telling you all the details just might make you all suffocate from the vast amounts of mush oozing out from the words of this story. And I like you, so I wouldn’t want to do that.
Anyway, I’ll set the stage of the day. It was a Saturday. Rich and I had just competed in a local ballroom competition all day (not as partners). We were exhausted but in high spirits and finally made it back to my place around 10pm. We started snuggling on the couch.
And thus were the circumstances of the sappiest conversation that ever did sap.
So there you go
